RideWise is a charity that is dedicated to education and support for the environmental benefits of green forms of transport, helps thousands of people each year to gain travel independence, reduce reliance on fossil fuel vehicles and helps to break the barriers of isolation, inactivity, mental health and transport poverty by supporting people through active travel. Our Bike Shops
Our Bike Shops are a hub of activity!
Our small, but perfectly trained team of mechanics, work hard to service, repair and modify bikes.
We always have a great selection of second-hand bikes for sale to suit all budgets!
RIDEWISE BIKE SHOP @ Lenton Abbey Park NG9 2SF
Our team at the Bike Shop is led by Workshop Manager Dean and mechanic Nick, alongside our long-standing volunteer Blake. Together they can help you with all things bike!
You can book repairs and servicing, buy a second-hand bike, donate a bike, or just chat with them about a mechanical issue. They'll do their very best to help keep your bike in tip-top condition, or advise you on the best choice for a new one!

Basic Service
As a rough guide, a full basic service will include cable change, set up of brakes and gears, crank and wheel bearings.
Things like hydraulic brakes, tubeless tyres, etc will be extra, so just let them know if anything else needs looking at, and they'll be happy to give you a quote for whatever you need.

Repairs
Ring the workshop or pop in and let them see the problem, and they'll be happy to give you a quote for anything that needs doing to get your bike running smoothly, safely and roadworthy again.

Cycle Maintenance Training
Want to learn how to fix a puncture, adjust your gears or stop your brakes from squeaking?
We offer cycle maintenance sessions, which can be tailored to your level and can include learning how to fix a puncture & servicing your bike as well as roadside repairs. For more information, please email customerservices@ridewise.org.uk

Bike Sales
We have stocks of second-hand bikes for sale all year round, but they come and go really quickly, so drop in to take a look.
Prices range from approx £60 to over £300 for an adult bike, and kids from around £30.

Bike Donations
We're always extremely happy to take your unwanted bikes off your hands - no matter what the condition!
They're checked and serviced by the team, and if they're unable to make them roadworthy, they're stripped down and can be used for parts for repairs or training sessions!
Nothing is wasted, so please do think of us if you have a bike you'd like to donate - you can drop it off at the shop, or , if you're within a half hour drive from us, we may be able to arrange a collection - just click HERE
